1. Introduction

Welcome to Nelson’s Self Store. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the rental of our self-storage units. By booking a unit or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a reservation.

2. Services & Booking

We provide self-storage containers for rent on a weekly basis. All units are standardized 20ft x 8ft containers.

Tiered Service Plans: We offer four distinct service tiers. You are bound by the specific access rights and location details of the tier you select at booking:

• Budget Saver (£25/week): Top Floor (Stair Access), Business Hours Access only.
• Standard Business (£35/week): Ground Floor (Drive-up), Business Hours Access only.
• Flexible Saver (£35/week): Top Floor (Stair Access), 24/7 Unlimited Access.
• Premium Direct (£50/week): Ground Floor (Drive-up), 24/7 Unlimited Access.

Note on Top Floor Units: Customers booking “Top Floor” units acknowledge that access is via stairs only. Heavy lifting equipment may not be suitable for these units.

3. Access Hours & Site Rules

Your access rights depend strictly on the plan purchased.

A. Business Hours Access Tier If you select a “Business Hours” plan, you are strictly limited to the following site access times:

• Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 15:30
• Saturday: 07:30 – 12:00
• Sunday: Closed (No Access)
• Bank Holidays: Closed (No Access)

B. 24/7 Access Tier

• Customers on the “Flexible Saver” or “Premium Direct” plans have unlimited 24-hour access via secure gated entry.

4. Payment & Rental Duration

• Billing Cycle: Rental charges are calculated on a weekly basis as advertised (£25, £35, or £50 per week).
• Non-Payment: We reserve the right to deny access to the facility and your unit if rental payments are in arrears.
• Price Changes: We guarantee your rental rate for the initial term, but reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days’ written notice.

5. Prohibited Items

For the safety of all customers and the facility, you strictly must not store the following items:

• Explosives, firearms, or ammunition.
• Hazardous, toxic, or radioactive materials.
• Food, perishables, or any items that may attract pests.
• Living plants or animals.
• Illegal substances or stolen goods.
• Combustible materials (gas canisters, petrol, solvents).

6. Liability & Insurance

• Goods at Your Risk: You store your goods entirely at your own risk. Nelson’s Self Store is not liable for any loss or damage to your property caused by theft, fire, water, pests, or other causes, unless caused by our proven negligence.
• Insurance: It is the customer’s responsibility to insure their goods. We recommend you take out a comprehensive “Goods in Storage” insurance policy.
• Site Liability: Customers are responsible for any damage they cause to the site, gates, or other units while on the premises.

7. Termination

• By You: You may terminate your rental agreement by providing us with 7 days’ written notice via email.
• By Us: We may terminate this agreement immediately if you breach these Terms (e.g., non-payment, storing prohibited items, or unauthorized access). Upon termination, you must vacate the unit and leave it in a clean, empty condition.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
